Cave Diving
Caves in Quintana Roo
Cave Diving: If you are already an experienced and certified cave diver, there’s no doubt that you’ve chosen the right destination. The caves between Cancun and Tulum are more beautiful than the others. Here, the underground network extends for hundreds of kilometers, making Quintana Roo the largest cave diving area in the world.
Between Playa del Carmen and Tulum, we will encounter hundreds of different caves adapted to your level and expectations.
Some are “easy,” and we will only follow the main line, which is well-suited for intro to cave divers.
Others are very long, sometimes narrow, and often navigation can be complex with many Ts, jumps, gaps, etc…
I will provide you with my knowledge of the area as well as my experience as a Cave Diving Instructor both in open circuit than CCR, so that you can safely and enjoyably explore these natural wonders.
I will personally accompany you during your cave explorations in the area to make your stay in Mexico an unforgettable memory.
About the Excursion
Depending on your skill certification, whether it’s Intro to Cave, Full Cave, or Technical Cave, we will choose the perfect cenote based on your preferences and the diving plan. Our dive plan will be ready from the previous day to ensure a smooth experience.
- We will meet around 8 AM to start our underwater exploration journey.
- Transfer in a 4x4 vehicle with all the equipment already prepared.
- Groups will consist of a maximum of 3 people (2 divers + guide). If the group is larger, we will add guides and form additional teams.
- You can choose your equipment configuration, whether it's backmount, sidemount, or rebreather. I will advise you based on your preferences and needs.
- After the dive, enjoy a snack and beverages.
- The return to your hotel will depend on the distance between the cenote and your hotel, as well as the chosen dive plan.
