The CCR Triton TryDive Mexico (Closed-Circuit Rebreather) with the Triton chest-mounted rebreather is an unforgettable experience that opens the doors to a mysterious and fascinating underwater world. Unlike traditional scuba diving, where divers breathe compressed air from a tank, the Triton front-mounted rebreather is a revolutionary technology that recycles and purifies the air the diver breathes, providing silent immersion and extended underwater autonomy.

The experience begins early in the morning, with divers gathering at the dive center, typically around 8 a.m. Before gearing up, they participate in an informative briefing to learn the basics of rebreather diving and understand how it works. Experienced instructors explain the various components of the Triton, how to check their equipment, and how to respond in case of any issues. Safety is paramount, and divers are encouraged to ask questions to alleviate any concerns.

Following the briefing, we head out to the sea or cenote, where you’ll put on your wetsuit, mask, fins, and the Triton rebreather. The Triton is a compact and sophisticated device that attaches to the front of the diver’s body and continuously filters exhaled air, removing carbon dioxide and reintroducing pure oxygen. This allows for air or gas conservation and virtually endless breathing underwater.

Once in the water, we start our descent to a depth of approximately 6 meters. As soon as you begin breathing with the Triton, you’ll immediately notice the silence. Unlike the characteristic noise of bubbles produced by traditional tanks, the Triton provides a quiet dive, enabling complete immersion in the marine environment.

After this initial introduction, we perform basic exercises to familiarize you with your equipment, ensuring a safe diving experience. Once the exercises are completed, we embark on one or two dives to a maximum depth of 12 meters. This allows you to further acclimate to the machine while enjoying the crystal-clear waters and marine life of Playa del Carmen. Thanks to the extended autonomy of the Triton rebreather, divers can stay underwater for longer periods without the concern of having to surface prematurely or running out of air.

The CCR Triton TryDive Mexico baptism is more than just an underwater adventure; it’s an experience that will introduce you to a different and wonderful type of diving. Subsequently, you can choose to continue your training at recreational or technical levels based on your motivation and skill level.
