Combo Cavern + Intro to Cave + Cave Diver IANTD – Minimum 9 days

The IANTD “Cave Package Cavern + Intro to Cave + Cave Diver” covers a progressive and comprehensive series of training that prepares divers for safe exploration and diving in underground environments. They will learn the basics of cave diving and gradually progress towards the more complex cave environment. These training courses are designed for divers who wish to systematically and progressively develop their ceiling diving skills.

Cavern Diver: The first step in the series is the Cavern Diver course. This initial training allows divers to acquire basic skills for exploring shallow underground environments, such as caverns, while maintaining continuous visibility to the surface. Candidates learn basic navigation techniques, communication, and safety protocols specific to cavern diving. The Cavern Diver course takes place in environments where natural light is always visible, allowing divers to quickly and easily exit in case of emergencies.

Intro to Cave Diver: The second step in the series is the Intro to Cave Diver course. This training allows divers to progress to more complex underground environments while staying on the main line. Divers learn more advanced navigation skills, techniques for using spools, reels, and guideline, as well as additional safety protocols for venturing further into the cave. The Intro to Cave Diver course focuses on mental preparation, stress management, and technical skills necessary for exploring areas further inside the cave.

Cave Diver: The third and final step in the series is the Cavern + Intro to Cave + Cave Diver. This advanced training prepares divers to explore deeper, longer, and more complex caves. Candidates learn to work in a confined and overhead environment, perform dives that require complex navigation such as jumps, gaps, circuits, etc. The Cave Diver course emphasizes cave dive planning, gas management, team communication, and advanced safety protocols while venturing into adjacent and remote passages from the mainline.
