Rescue Diver Course – Duration: 2 to 3 days

The Rescue Diver course is an advanced diving certification that goes beyond basic recreational diving courses. This training is designed to teach divers how to recognize and manage underwater emergency situations and develop their rescue skills.

The program includes:

Enhancement of Diving Skills: Before beginning rescue training, you should be an experienced diver with strong diving skills. The IANTD rescue course aims to improve these skills so that you can dive more safely and responsibly.

First Aid Training: An essential part of the Rescue course is aquatic first aid training. You will learn specific diving-related first aid techniques, such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), emergency oxygen administration, and decompression sickness management. It is advisable to have prior first aid certification from an agency such as the Red Cross, etc. In case you are unable to obtain prior first aid training, it can be done with us. However, an additional day will be required.

Emergency Situation Management: The course will teach you to recognize early signs of potential problems and manage emergency situations that can occur during a dive. You will learn to identify and quickly resolve issues such as diver stress, panic, equipment problems, and rescue situations.

Team Training: You will be trained to work effectively as a team during emergency scenarios. You will learn to communicate clearly and coordinate actions with other divers and rescuers to ensure a rapid and appropriate response to critical situations.

Real-Life Practice: An important part of the Rescue course involves practical exercises in real-life situations. You will participate in rescue simulations and emergency scenarios to put your new skills into practice and enhance your confidence as a rescuer.

Certification: Upon successfully completing the training, you will receive the IANTD Rescue Diver certification. This will allow you to dive with confidence, knowing that you have the necessary skills to assist other divers and manage underwater emergency situations.

To take this course, you must hold a first aid certificate and be trained in oxygen administration. Both first aid and oxygen provider training can be completed during the Rescue Diver course if you are not already certified as a rescuer by another agency, such as the Red Cross or others.

The First Aid, Oxygen, and Rescue training package takes 3 days. In the case of Rescue training alone (if you are already a rescuer), the course duration will be 2 days.
