Nitrox Diver Course

Nitrox Diver: 3 hours of theory without dives and half a day with the option for 2 dives
The “Nitrox Diver” course is a theoretical training that allows divers to learn how to dive using enriched air mixes, commonly referred to as “nitrox.”
Nitrox is a gas mixture that contains a higher percentage of oxygen than standard air. The most commonly used nitrox mixes in recreational diving are typically nitrox 32% and nitrox 36%.
Here’s what you will learn during the “IANTD Nitrox Diver” course:
Theory and Knowledge: During this course, you will learn the fundamental concepts of nitrox, including the benefits and considerations associated with diving with enriched oxygen mixes. You will also study depth and time limits for each mix, as well as procedures for planning nitrox dives.
Gas Management: You will learn how to manage gases and calculate no-decompression limits for nitrox dives. Nitrox generally allows for longer dive times at certain depths, but it’s crucial to understand how to use this feature safely.
Mix Analysis: An important part of the course focuses on nitrox mix analysis. You will learn to use an oxygen analyzer to accurately check the oxygen percentage in the dive cylinder, ensuring that the mix meets your expectations.
Dive Safety: The course will emphasize safety when diving with nitrox, including specific emergency procedures and additional considerations for decompression.
Open Water Dives (optional): Once the theoretical part is completed, you will have the opportunity to complete open water dives to put your nitrox diving skills into practice. You will learn to plan and safely execute dives using enriched oxygen mixes.
Certification: After successfully completing the “IANTD Nitrox Diver” course, you will receive a certification allowing you to safely dive with nitrox mixes within the limits of your certification. This opens up new possibilities for longer and safer dives.
