Open Water Diver – Duration: 3 days

The Open Water Diver course is the first level of recreational diving and aims to teach you the basic knowledge and skills to become an independent diver.

During this training, we will cover the following topics:

Theoretical training: You will learn the fundamental principles of diving, including the physics and physiology of diving, safety rules, buoyancy control, underwater communication, and the use of basic diving equipment.

Pool or shallow water training: You will practice basic diving skills in a controlled environment, such as a pool or shallow water area. This will include exercises such as mask clearing, air sharing with a buddy, descent and ascent control, and buoyancy mastery.

Open water training: After acquiring basic skills in the pool, you will move on to the open water diving phase. You will put into practice the skills learned in a real environment, become familiar with marine life, and experience the excitement of scuba diving.

Theory and exams: You will need to pass a theoretical exam to demonstrate your understanding of essential diving concepts, as well as fundamental safety rules.

Certification: Once you have met the course requirements, you will receive an Open Water Diver certification. This will allow you to dive worldwide with a buddy of similar or higher level, up to a depth of 21m, following the limits of your IANTD certification.
