Recreational Diving
Recreational diving is an open door to discovering the hidden wonders beneath the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea, as well as the Mexican caverns.
It’s an opportunity to escape the daily routine and explore a completely different world.
By discovering the cenotes, recreational divers will have the chance to admire the beauty of stalactite and stalagmite formations dating back thousands of years, as well as the fabulous rays of sunlight that penetrate the water into the infinity.
When diving in Cozumel or Playa del Carmen, they can also let themselves be carried by the currents of the Caribbean Sea and admire the coral reefs, interacting with a wide variety of colorful marine creatures in their natural habitat.
Whether in the cenotes, Cozumel, or Playa del Carmen, recreational diving provides a sense of freedom, tranquility, and connection with nature that is truly indescribable.
World-renowned within the diving community due to their uniqueness in both diversity and nearly infinite water visibility, the cenotes are natural treasures that bring joy to hundreds of divers every year.
Located 7 nautical miles (12 km) from Playa del Carmen, Cozumel is, along with the cenotes, an essential diving destination for enthusiasts of turquoise waters, corals, and marine life.
Although less known than the cenotes or Cozumel, diving in Playa del Carmen also holds a lot of charm. It’s particularly suitable for beginner divers with sites like “Jardines,” where a large number of fish gather on the reef at a maximum depth of 10 meters.
From November to March, many bull sharks gather in a specific location just 10 minutes of navigation from the shores of Playa del Carmen. During this period, it’s not uncommon to dive with a dozen sharks at the same time, making this activity unique and indescriptible.
